1.1 What is Playwaze and what can I do with it?

Playwaze is the new hub for all Scottish Rowing competitions, rowing events and challenges.

Clubs can use it to make entries to Scottish Rowing competitions.

Rowers can use Playwaze to join challenges and compete virtually with other rowers all over Scotland.

1.2 How Do I register with playwaze?

Registering is easy on the Playwaze app.

If you have a membership with us, use the same email address you use on our membership system and just click the Forgot Password link to get an email so you can set a password. Your accounts will be linked.

2 Clubs

2.1 How do I get an administrator account on Playwaze?

To add or remove an administrator to your account, please contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. For adding an admin, please allow at least 5 working days before making entries.

2.2 How do I enter crews into a competition?

To enter crews in Playwaze, you need to log on to the Playwaze website on a computer with an administrator account (see “How do I Get an Administrator Account on Playwaze?”)

First, find the event on Playwaze, you can find them all on the Scottish Rowing Playwaze homepage. Join the event you want to make entries into.

Ensure you have entered all cox names at this stage – you will not be able to add them later with the rest of the crew.

2.3 How do I pay for entries?

You can pay online using a credit or debit card.

If the event organiser allows it, you may also be able to pay using an offline method such as a cheque or bank transfer. This will be given as an option on the screen.

 2.5 How do I enter a composite crew?

When selecting your club (step 2 of 2.2: "How do I enter crews into a competition?", choose the club which ends with (composite). The rowers from the other club(s) will need to follow the instructions in 3.1: "How do I make myself available for a composite crew?" before you can select them for the crew.

2.6 How do I withdraw a crew?

To withdraw a crew, please contact the event organiser.

2.7 I am with a club from outside Scotland, how to I enter Scottish Rowing event on Playwaze?

Club administrators of non-Scottish Rowing clubs thinking of making entries should get in touch with us as soon as possible at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to get set up on our entry system, at least 5 working days before making entries.

2.8 Why is one of my members missing on Playwaze?

There are two reasons your members may not be showing up in Playwaze:

  • They must have a valid Scottish Rowing membership that includes a racing licence (Junior, Senior, Student or Adaptive).
  • They must have been approved membership to your club on the Scottish Rowing membership system.

3.1 How do I make myself available for a composite crew?

To be entered as part of a composite crew with another club, you must make yourself available to the club entering the crew:

  1. Log in to the Playwaze app and open your profile,
  2. Select the Scottish Rowing tab,
  3. Open settings,
  4. Scroll down to find "Select Clubs to Represent in a Composite Club",
  5. Choose the club who is entering you in the composite crew (you can select more than one club),
  6. Save your changes.

You only need to do this once for all competitions. You can add and remove clubs to/from this list at any time.
